Website Indexer

A website indexer watches your sitemap and notifies search engines when URLs are added or changed. PageIndexer does that with the Google Indexing API and IndexNow, then tracks whether those pages stay in the index.

What a website indexer does

Search engines find pages through links, sitemaps, and occasional submissions. A website indexer shortens the wait after you publish: it reads the URLs you care about and tells Google and Bing those pages changed.

It does not guarantee rankings. It improves discovery and helps you see when a URL is indexed, stuck, or dropped. For the crawl vs index basics, see what page indexing is.

Manual vs automated indexing

Manual

Paste URLs into Google Search Console URL Inspection or Bing Webmaster Tools one at a time. Fine for a few launches. Painful when you ship dozens of pages a week.

Automated

Connect your property once. New and updated sitemap URLs get submitted on a schedule. Status is checked over time so drops and stuck pages are visible without daily hand checks.

If you only publish rarely, manual requests may be enough. If the sitemap grows every week, automation is the practical website indexer approach.

Google vs Bing

Google and Bing do not share one submission path. Covering both means two channels:

  • Google - Sitemaps, internal links, URL Inspection, and (where you use it) the Google Indexing API. IndexNow does not notify Google.
  • Bing and partners - IndexNow pings Bing and other participating engines when URLs change. Useful for Bing and AI surfaces that lean on that index.

A complete website indexer stack uses both: Google-facing submission plus IndexNow, then verification in Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

How PageIndexer works

PageIndexer is built as that automated website indexer:

  1. Connect Google Search Console and enable your sitemap.
  2. Turn on auto-index so new and changed URLs are submitted via the Google Indexing API and IndexNow.
  3. Watch indexing status in one dashboard. Resubmits run when pages drop or stay unindexed, quota permitting.

You still own content quality. Submission gets another look; crawled-not-indexed usually needs a better page, not more pings. Live timing aggregates are on our Google indexing statistics page. Setup steps are in set-up.

Who a website indexer is for

Sites that ship product pages, locales, or content often. Agencies watching many properties. Anyone tired of pasting URLs into Search Console after every deploy.

Plans start on the pricing page. The site footer signup is the same path if you want to try it.
